About Event

Food systems are under immense strain from climate change, market volatility, and rising inequality. Women farmers — who produce much of the world’s food — remain under-recognized and under-resourced, even as their leadership is critical to ensuring food security and climate resilience. Gender equity in agriculture is not only a moral imperative; it is a practical necessity for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, including Zero Hunger, Gender Equality, and Climate Action.

This session will showcase scalable, women-led solutions — from climate-smart agriculture in India to indigenous female smallholders in Africa cultivating forgotten, resilient crops with the support of emerging technologies. Together, we’ll ask: how do we transform food systems by centering the leadership and resilience of women farmers?
