About Event

The Climate Innovation and Legal Readiness Forum is a focused patents workshop for climate-tech startups and law students, organised by CIIE, NLU Delhi on 21 February as part of Delhi Climate Innovation Week (DCIW). The workshop is designed as a practical learning session to help early-stage climate and sustainability startups understand how India’s patent system applies to their technologies. Climate innovations in clean energy, mobility, data platforms and sustainability often face uncertainty under patent law, particularly around eligibility, disclosure and filing strategy. This session will translate these legal complexities into clear, founder-friendly guidance.

Participants will include climate-tech startups from the Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) ecosystem, legal and innovation ecosystem partners, NLU Delhi faculty and students. The workshop is limited to 50–100 participants and will be conducted on a registration-first-come-first-served basis to ensure meaningful interaction. The objective is to build legal readiness for innovation while giving students exposure to real-world intellectual property challenges faced by climate-tech founders.
