Join us for May's Career Advancement Meetup.
Join MCJ's career advancement series with Andy Nelson of The Positive Career Coach. A free, virtual, and fun way to receive practical advice, expert insights, and networking opportunities to help you reach your professional goals and take the next step in your career.
This month, Samantha Leveston and Lauren Miller join us from Overstory and MCJ for a conversation surrounding hiring trends in Climate and Energy 🌱
Meet our speakers:
Samantha Leveston has spent the last 10+ years building teams and growing recruiting programs at high-growth, mission-driven startups. As the first recruiter at Carta, she helped scale the team from 60 to 170+ before spending five years at Handshake owning hiring across nearly every function from engineering and product to sales and customer success. Most recently, she joined Overstory, a climate tech company using AI to help utilities build a more resilient grid. She is passionate about building scalable recruiting systems, creating delightful candidate experiences, and doing her part to drive progress on the climate crisis.
Lauren Miller runs talent for MCJ (Climate and Energy VC with over 90 portfolio companies). Lauren previously recruited at Tesla, where she hired the robotics and controls engineers who built the Body-in-White (BIW) assembly line for the Model 3, one of the most critical manufacturing milestones in the company’s history. She is now focused on the clean energy and climate tech space, connecting top talent with mission-driven companies working on the energy transition.
This session will be participatory, and we encourage all folks to join - regardless of exposure to climate tech prior to the call.
