Lars Ling, CEO & Founder of CleanTech Region Group, will share a personal journey that began as the grandson of a goat farmer in rural Sweden and evolved into more than three decades of entrepreneurship, international collaboration and helping energy and cleantech solutions scale across borders.
The story is also about what the Nordics can offer the world: real-world examples in clean energy, AI, industrial transformation, smart cities and sustainable innovation — and why the Nordic region can become a powerful European landing pad for U.S. companies looking for customers, pilots, partners, talent and pathways into the wider European market.
Together with Jonas Berggren, CEO of Calejo Hybrid Intelligence, and Jan Segerstam and Katja Kolehmainen from the University of Vaasa Investment Initiative, we’ll explore a simple question:
How can we turn the Nordic–Silicon Valley connection into real business, investment, research and energy-transition impact — in both directions?
