Nature of Code - Chapter 2 Forces
Session for Chapter 2: Forces, in the The Nature of Code, by Daniel Shiffman (the Coding Train)
We're going through The Nature of Code, a guide to teaching computers how to simulate the real world, together! Each session pairs reading and discussion with hands-on coding or creative interpretation. Whether you’re a generative artist, creative coder, or just curious about how systems evolve, this series breaks open the core mechanics behind life-like digital motion and intelligence.
Each week, we'll go over one chapter in the book to work through the chapter, share progress, and experiment in code using p5.js. Those who consistently come will have more say in how the final showcase comes together.
Pre-requisites
Familiarity with p5.js, Processing, or any creative coding environment. Understanding of the fundamentals is assumed: variables, conditionals, loops, functions, objects, arrays, and object-oriented programming.
Schedule - rsvp to each on our calendar
