The Agent Economy Buildathon | $20k in bounties
Build the rails the agent economy runs on. Six days. Up to $20k.
Powered by Superteam, Hosted by Plugged
Agents are now transacting. They buy compute, data, services, and increasingly each other's work — at machine speed, in micro-amounts, with no human in the loop.
The rails this requires don't fully exist on Web2. The infrastructure being built right now — on Solana, x402, Pay.sh, and CoralOS — is the answer.
We're bringing the builders working on this into one room for six days. $10k in cash prizes, a $10k milestone-based grant from the Solana Foundation, and infrastructure credits on the table for the best builds shipped during the week.
Who's behind this
Superteam UK — The UK chapter of Superteam, the developer ecosystem programme building the next generation of founders and operators on Solana. Grants. Hackathons. Bounties. Backing serious builders globally.
Plugged — London's curated founder community. Coworking, events, partnerships, and programming built for people who ship. Home to a community of operators, founders, and engineers across AI, fintech, and frontier tech.
What to expect
→ Six days of coworking at Plugged, gated to 50 hackers
→ Family lunch every day at 12:30 — long table, communal, phones down
→ Programmed activities throughout — technical workshops, mentor office hours, commercialisation clinics, demo nights, firesides
→ Optional 24-hour lock-in Friday into Saturday for builders going hard at the bounty
→ Closing showcase + winner announced Saturday afternoon
The bounty / up to $20k + credits
Three tracks. Pick one. Ship something deployable.
⏵ Track 01 / Agents serving other agents — machine-to-machine commerce. x402 marketplaces, multi-agent services, APIs priced for agent consumption.
⏵ Track 02 / Agents serving humans — delegated commerce. Procurement, booking, payments agents working with a budget on behalf of a human.
⏵ Track 03 / Agent-accessible services — supply side. Tools, data, compute, services designed to be paid for and used by agents.
Prize structure
→ 1st place — $5,000 cash + a $10,000 grant from the Solana Foundation, paid in milestones to keep building
→ 2nd place — $3,000 cash
→ 3rd place — $2,000 cash
→ Infrastructure credits — provided by Triton and Cognition for all shipped builds
Bounty announced Monday afternoon. Submissions Saturday morning. Winner judged and named Saturday afternoon. Cash paid in stablecoins.
Who should join
Technical builders, founders, and operators working on (or seriously curious about) the agentic stack. AI/ML engineers. Fintech and payments operators. Solana-native developers. Anyone shipping in or adjacent to agent infrastructure.
Practitioners over pundits.
How it works
Apply through this form. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. We select up to 50 hackathon participants for the base at Plugged.
Coworking at Plugged is the spine of your week. Open daily 9am–6pm, with evening extensions on activity days. Family lunch every day at 12:30 is the one constant.
Pick a bounty track on Day 1. Ship against it across the week. Activities throughout — workshops, mentor office hours, clinics, demos, firesides — are there to help. Attend what's useful, skip what isn't.
Submit Saturday morning. Final builds due 11am. Judging in the afternoon. Winner announced at the closing ceremony.
Bounty paid in stablecoins to the winning team or individual.
