About Event
Join Yurok author and attorney Amy Bowers Cordalis and SF Chronicle photojournalist Brontë Wittpenn in a film screening of Wittpenn’s short film “Answer to Our Ancestors’ Prayers” which follows the first people in 100 years to kayak the entire Klamath River since the removal of four dams - the largest dam removal project in U.S. history. The event will also feature a gallery of Wittpenn’s striking images from the project, a discussion with Bowers Cordalis about her new book, The Water Remembers, and the importance of Indigenous storytelling onscreen and in the media. Journalist Margaret Katcher will host the discussion.
