BACKGROUND
The Network State by Balaji Srinivasan is a powerful concept that aims to bring on-chain innovation on-land.
It seems utopian, but it's already happening. And it's not in the Metaverse, it's in the real world.
Several startups cities have sprung up that have real-world jurisdiction and land, e.g. Próspera (that harbors Infinita City), Culdesac, Itana, Ciudad Morazán, or Balaji's "Network School" (Forest City).
These permanent cities are accompanied by experimental popup cities inspired by Vitalik Buterin's "Zuzalu" that has created a new model to catalyze highly aligned online communities into shaping meatspace, like Ipe City, Crecimiento or Edge City.
A new movement is emerging.
We invite frontier builders, renegade scientists and techno-optimists to join us in the Draper House for all-day networking and co-working.
The topics of the conversation are the emergence of startup cities & network states, crypto, and decentralized governance as pillars for a self-sovereign governance system, and advancing biotech & the science for extending healthy human lifespan.
