About Event

Brought to you by Conception X, Renaissance Philanthropy and Pillar VC, with support from Ada Ventures and the Crick Science Entrepreneur Network, and powered by the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA).

AI is rewriting the rules of scientific discovery. Advanced models are predicting molecular behaviour, designing new materials and identifying drug targets faster than ever. From robotics and lab-in-the-loop hardware to drug discovery, materials science, neuroscience and AgTech – AI is opening up possibilities we're only beginning to grasp.

But knowing what's possible isn't enough. The question is: how do you actually build it?

This Summit is for anyone using AI to accelerate science, who is wondering how to build something from their discoveries. If you're an early-career scientist, a PhD researcher with a big idea, or an early-stage founder building at the intersection of AI and science, the path forward to translate your science into impact isn't always clear.

This Summit exists to help you see the full landscape – and understand the concrete steps, structures and pathways available to turn ambitious research into companies and breakthroughs that matter.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A room full of high ambition peers: scientists and builders to share learning, build collaboration and inspire action

  • 16 sessions across multiple tracks – from VC firesides to ‘how to build a FRO’

  • Practical insights on how to build, secure grants and raise investment – from current startup CEOs/CTOs, FRO Creators

  • Lightning pitches from investors, accelerators and grantmakers – why should you consider them?

  • 1:1 coffee connections – a chance to meet fellow researchers, potential co-founders or early employees

In one afternoon, we’ll help you build your blueprint for what comes next.

The goal? To raise our collective ambition for what’s possible

Three Questions We'll Tackle Together

>> What's Holding Us Back? Despite rapid advances in AI, the systems around science remain misaligned with this new era. Academic incentives still prioritise publication over translation. How can we change this, and what groups are working to do so? Could this be a generational opportunity for scientists to build?

>> What Does A Reimagined Stack Look Like? We're in the earliest stages of rebuilding the technical foundations of science itself. But what does the AI-for-science stack actually look like today? What are new models, and current effective pathways, from discovery to real-world impact?

>> What Comes Next? What do the first few weeks of an AI for Science startup, or Focused Research Organisation, or non-profit, actually look like? What are the hard-won lessons from the frontlines? How are best practices evolving, and where are the biggest gaps? What support is available already to you, particularly if you’re pre-idea, and at what point should you take it?

Our goal is for you to leave the Summit with a clear understanding of what you could do next.

This event brings together the researchers and early builders creating that future – to share what they've learned, what's working, and what comes next.

If you're building an AI for Science startup, exploring how to translate your research into impact, or simply trying to understand the full scope of what's now possible – this conversation is for you.
