Field Tour: Aalo Atomics
Bottlenecks Institute, Cool Climate Collective, and Texas Futures Coalition are excited to partner with Aalo Atomics for a private tour of their new 40,000 sq ft HQ + manufacturing facility in Austin. Aalo is one of the rising stars of the nuclear industry: they’re challenging long-held expectations for lethargic development timelines and producing a 50 MWe power plant for onsite use at data centers.
Following the Texas Futures Summit on March 12th, we’re inviting a small group of industry leaders and investors for an exclusive look at the facility and a Q&A with Aalo's CEO, Matt Loszak. This is not a typical company visit.
Bottlenecks Institute is dedicated to understanding the underlying mechanisms that affect the growth of organizations and industries, and which problems most affect the entire system. In addition to learning about Aalo’s approach, we’ll be mapping and discussing the constraints around deployment (manufacturing, suppliers, siting, licensing/regulatory pathways, fuel, commissioning, interconnect, buyer adoption, and more) and surface investable “bottleneck breakers” that impact the category as a whole.
About Aalo Atomics
Aalo builds factory-manufactured nuclear plants. They’re on a mission to produce power under 3¢ kW; one of their inaugural products produced in Austin is the Aalo Pod (50 MWe) designed for data centers.
