Btrax Design Community Presents: Defining Creative Vision in the AI Era — Workshop & Pitch Night
In a world where AI increasingly handles execution, what remains distinctly human is intention. Technology can generate answers at scale, but deciding which questions are worth asking — and which futures deserve our energy — is still our responsibility.
For designers and creators, defining the “Why” sits at the core of our work. We imagine better possibilities, interpret complexity, and set direction before anything is built. Vision isn’t simply inspiration — it’s the act of choosing what should exist in the first place.
At btrax, we explore how AI can strengthen the creative process when used with care. Rather than replacing human judgment, it can expand it — accelerating exploration while keeping purpose and real human needs at the center.
Part 1: Choosing What’s Worth Building
AI can expand what is possible, but it cannot determine what is meaningful. Before we design solutions, we must first decide what deserves to exist.
In this workshop, participants will step back from tools and outputs to reflect on direction. Through guided exercises and discussion, you will examine the values, assumptions, and future conditions that shape what you choose to create and why. Rather than predicting the future, the focus is on clarifying your stance toward it.
Part 2: From Insight to Service Concept
A team from Japan will present a service concept designed for residents of the Bay Area, developed through btrax’s intensive 10-week Design Thinking program.
Design does not end with an idea. It evolves through feedback, challenge, and reinterpretation. In this interactive session, participants are invited to help evaluate and refine the developing service concept by examining assumptions, identifying blind spots, and exploring how it might better respond to real human contexts.
Join us for an evening of learning, dialogue, and connection as we celebrate the creativity, vision, and impact of designers and creators shaping the future.
