β€‹β€‹πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Mindful Makers: Mindfulness Hack #3 - Ancient Wisdom and Inspiration

Join us this Saturday, Dec. 20th for our last Mindful Makers Hack of the year: Ancient Wisdom.

In this hack, we’ll be developing solutions to improve wellbeing through connection with ancient texts and wisdom, which is regularly shown to support mental health, reduce stress, and strengthen emotional resilience across cultures and belief systems.

How might AI help people engage inquisitively and interactively with ancient wisdom – asking questions, exploring interpretations, and forming personal insight?

Come explore ideas such as:

πŸ“œ AI-powered interactive engagement with ancient, spiritual, or mystical texts

β€‹πŸ§  Wellbeing-driven interfaces that connect users to passages and quotes based on personal data from daily life

β€‹πŸ“‘ Continuing progress on EEG-based mindfulness tools, from signal to experience

πŸš«πŸ“± Zero / Screenless UI, including voice, touch, and ambient interaction

β€‹πŸ€ Bridging ancient wisdom and modern science without tying solutions to any single tradition

This is a single-day hack focused on building and prototyping deployable ideas, continuing work from previous Mindful Makers hacks while welcoming new projects.

Bring your best mindfulness, wisdom-inspired, and human-centered ideas.

We’ll spend the day designing and building apps, websites, and tools that promote mindfulness in everyday life. Our belief is simple: technology can deepen presence, connection, and well-being.
To test our creations, we’ll use them ourselves in the days that follow β€” and see if they truly cultivate ease, warmth, spaciousness, generosity, and connection.

β€‹β€‹πŸ’‘ Who Should Join

  • Meditators: Some experience with meditation or prayer is encouraged (occasional dabblers are welcome!).

  • Non-coders welcome: You don’t need to be a programmer β€” we’ll keep a balanced ratio of coders to non-coders (~1:1) so everyone can contribute meaningfully.
