Londonmaxxing 003: Maxxing London Hackathon
How can we make London better to build in, live in and fall in love with?
London is on a generational run. Billions in investment is flowing into the city, new ideas are everywhere, and the energy right now feels electric. Londonmaxxing 003 is the hackathon for people who want to channel that optimism into building things that make London better as it grows: sharper tools, better systems, more ambitious experiments, and projects that benefit Londoners in their everyday life.
We’re taking over Ramen Space in Dalston on July 4th for a high-energy session of building, sharing, and meeting people who are serious about making things happen.
Tracks
What should I build? The two categories are:
Live London: Make London the best city in the world to live.
This is the track for projects that improve everyday life in London. That could mean fixing common challenges for Londoners - transport, housing, civic life, local businesses, accessibility, coordination, information gaps, safety, affordability, loneliness, bureaucracy, or anything else that makes the city harder to navigate.
It could also mean helping people make the most of what London already has to offer - from hidden gems, neighbourhoods, culture, events, food, walks, pubs, communities, third spaces and more.
Build London: Make London the best city in the world to build.
This is the track for projects that strengthen London’s builder ecosystem and make it easier for ambitious people to start, launch, grow and create here.
It could also include products that make London’s startup, AI, creative, research, finance or community ecosystems easier to navigate and more connected. In general this track contributes to making London a more prosperous city.

17:00 - 18:00: Demos & awards ceremony
18:00 - Late: Afterparty
Every hackathon ticket comes with complementary coffee, tea, lunch, snacks, dinner and drinks.

Our shared mission is to build something useful that helps Londoners live better, build better, or experience the city in a new way. We'll provide credits, APIs, and data to help!
What are the prizes?
A growing prize pool of £1,000 (plus some limited edition merch)
How do I reserve my spot?

Due to limited venue capacity we can only accept a limited number of builders and will be reviewing and accepting applications on a rolling basis.
Please note, that successful applicants will be required to hold their spot with a refundable deposit.
