Denim After the Loom: From Stone to System - Fireside Chat - Bluezone Main Stage
Denim’s most iconic moments were born in the wash house — but what comes after the loom is now being redefined. From hand-washed prototypes in the ‘80s to AI-powered production lines, the post-loom space has become ground zero for impact, creativity, and reinvention.
Denim After the Loom is a growing global panel series initiated by HMS, spotlighting the people, tools, and systems reshaping how denim gets made. After a packed first edition in London, the series now comes to Munich Fabric Start / Bluezone — this time as part of the first-ever Innovation Space in the show’s history, co-curated by Baytech - HMS and Future Fashion Assembly.
This fireside chat is one of the key moments in the innovation space designed to make innovation tangible through workshops, live tools, and hands-on demos from emerging innovators across the value chain.
In this 30-minute session moderated by Future Fashion Assembly Founder & CEO, Sofia Strazzanti along with two influential voices in denim — one a pioneer of wash innovation and the Godfather of Denim, Adriano Goldschmied, the other a driver of future-forward production, HMS — come together to unpack where we’ve been and where we’re going.
We’ll explore the friction between tradition and tech, how brands are navigating traceability demands, and what it really takes to shift an industry without losing what made it iconic in the first place.
Expect a conversation that’s unfiltered, cross-generational, and rooted in reality — designed to inspire both legacy makers and next-gen builders.
