Compassion 2.0 Human Tech Week Hub
You're invited to join us during Human+Tech Week 2026 to explore what it means for individuals and organizations to flourish in an AI-shaped world.
The Compassion 2.0 Hub brings together leaders, founders, investors, researchers, practitioners, and builders for facilitated salons, applied workshops, curated conversations, and experiential sessions at the intersection of flourishing science, organizational design, care-based performance, and emerging technologies.
All public sessions take place at 2 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco. Register for individual sessions below.
Saturday, May 9 -- DrawBridge Gala (Community Event)
On the eve of Human+Tech Week, our partners at DrawBridge are hosting an inaugural gala at the same space that serves as home to the C2 Hub -- live music, art, salsa dancing, Bay Area cuisine, and a celebration of nearly 40 years of expressive arts programming for children in shelters across the Bay Area. Every ticket supports one child's full month of programming. We are grateful to DrawBridge for sharing their space with us and encourage everyone to attend. Tuesday, May 12 — The Science and Practice of Flourishing
10:00 AM — Leaning into our Prosocial Neurobiology: How Enterprises Can Design for Connection Carson Kelly (Compassion 2.0) and Rebecca Kirstein Resch (Inqli) explore what happens when enterprises design with — rather than against — our inherent neurobiological motivations for collective work. With an introduction by Tamara Lechner.
11:00 AM — Reversing Social Isolation: Why and how to design for Human Connection and Flourishing Social isolation has been building for decades — but the loneliness crisis is now colliding with a critical inflection point. Stanford researcher Steven Crane and Twyne founder Thorsten Hoins will explore the evolutionary roots of human connection and why so much of modern life works against it.
1:30 PM — Play as Flourishing Carissa Karban leads an experiential session exploring play as a practice for presence, connection, and agency. This isn't a talk about play. This is play.
2:00 PM — Art as Flourishing: Waycrafting, Agency, and the Expression of Self - Evelisa Genova (DrawBridge, Harvard M.Ed.) presents her thesis on art as a practice of flourishing — using the mindset tools of the arts to build authentic self-expression and agency.
Wednesday, May 13 — Flourishing Structures and Identity
9:00 AM - “If not us, who?”: Shaping AI for Human Flourishing (presented by the IEEE Global AIS Flourishing Initiative) - Join us for an interactive session using backcasting to imagine and actively shape a future where AI helps humans live their best lives. Together, we’ll explore the current AI landscape, define human flourishing in a technology-saturated world, and examine the ethical frameworks and design principles needed to prioritize human potential, connection, and well-being. Participants will leave with practical tools, shared commitments, and concrete next steps for advocating for AI systems that support collective flourishing rather than pure efficiency.
11:00 AM - Private Event: Spirituality+AI: From Intention to Infrastructure (“The Relational Turn”)
5:30 PM — Rethinking Identity, Meaning, and Work in the Age of AI Vlad Moskovski explores what happens to human agency and purpose when AI disrupts not just tasks, but the deeper structures of identity and meaning people have built their lives around.
Thursday, May 14 — Building Flourishing Technology
10:00 AM — The Organizational Flourishing Construct: Metabolism, Coherence, and AI Carson Kelly introduces the Organizational Flourishing Construct — a framework for understanding how relational coherence converts into coordinated execution, and how AI can accelerate organizational metabolism.
11:00 AM — Building Flourishing Tech: Keeping it Real - Maithilee Samant (mirro.ai), Blair Ryan (Kindred AI), and Colleen Furman (Pebl) share what it actually looks like to build technology with human connection at the center — the tradeoffs, the lessons, and what they'd do differently.
3:00 PM — Reviewing the Thread through Human Tech Week - Tamara Lechner , Evelisa Genova, and Carissa Karban close the C2 Hub by pulling the week's threads together — what patterns emerged, what inspired us, and how we can support each other moving forward.

Hosted by Compassion 2.0 & Human+Tech Week 2 Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, CA May 11–15, 2026
This week is hosted by DrawBridge at 2 Embarcadero Center. For nearly 40 years, DrawBridge has brought free, trauma-informed expressive arts programs to children across the Bay Area — many experiencing housing instability — meeting kids where they are and staying long enough to matter. We are guests in their home. drawbridge.org
