InnovateX Delhi 2026 – Where Technology Meets Climate Action
Overview
InnovateX is MathWorks flagship event designed to unite regional startup ecosystems and accelerate innovation. Over the past two years, seven successful editions have been hosted across Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
The first edition of InnovateX 2026 is being hosted as part of Delhi Climate Innovation Week in collaboration with Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) & TERI School of Advanced Studies. This event serves as a dynamic platform for climate tech startups, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers to come together and accelerate innovation in critical areas such as energy storage, grid integration and battery technologies.
Why This Matters
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and technology plays a pivotal role in addressing it. By fostering collaboration between innovators, policy makers and industry leaders, InnovateX aims to catalyse solutions that can scale and deliver measurable impact. Delhi Climate Innovation Week amplifies this effort by creating a concentrated network effect—bringing changemakers together in one city, during one week, to drive visibility, partnerships, and actionable outcomes.
MathWorks Role
MathWorks empowers climate tech innovators with MATLAB and Simulink, enabling them to design, simulate, and deploy advanced systems. From modelling renewable energy systems and optimizing EV and battery technologies to applying AI for predictive insights, MathWorks helps startups move from concept to real-world deployment faster—reducing risk and accelerating time-to-market.
What to Expect
The event will feature thought leadership sessions, fireside chats, startup pitches, and a panel discussion, culminating in a Climate Mixer for networking and collaboration. Participants will gain insights into cutting-edge technologies, explore partnership opportunities, and learn how to leverage MathWorks tools to scale their innovations.
Agenda:
AI for Climate Innovation: Turning Complex Challenges into Scalable Solutions - 2:00 to 2:50 PM
A dynamic fireside chat between a MathWorks host and a MathWorks technical expert exploring how climate‑tech & energy teams can navigate uncertainty, reduce risk, and accelerate their projects from concept to deployment. The conversation highlights real-world challenges in areas such as energy storage, grid integration, and battery systems — and discusses how AI mindsets and simulation-driven approaches help innovators design smarter and scale faster.
This session will also showcase success stories from industry & startups that have used these approaches to strengthen their products, build customer trust, and have operationalized their solutions more effectively.
Startup Spotlight (Round 1) - 2:50 – 3:00 PM
Three climate-tech startups share their innovations in storage, grid, battery, or sustainability solutions.
Enabling Scale: Policy, Standards & System Readiness for India’s Climate Tech Future - 3:00 - 3:45 PM
TERI outlines the systemic challenges facing India’s climate transition — from interoperability to safety standards — and highlights how policy pathways, regulatory frameworks, and industry coordination can unlock rapid adoption of new technologies.
Startup Spotlight (Round 2) - 3:45 – 4:00 PM
Three additional startups present emerging climate-tech solutions.
Scaling Climate Tech in India: Capital, Policy, Industry & Innovation Working Together - 4:00 –4:50 PM
A multi-stakeholder conversation with a startup, VC, policymaker, and industry leader. Moderated by MathWorks, this session explores what it takes to move from pilots to commercial scale — covering funding expectations, regulatory signals, industry adoption barriers, and the role of tech-enabled evidence.
Climate Innovation Mixer - 4:50–6:00 PM
Networking session to build collaborations between attendees. Focused on sparking deeper conversations from the earlier talks and enabling partnerships and follow-ups.
