Decompost Night - Rot with Intention [public]
🍂 Decompress from the work week with this intentionally unintentional hangout. Emerge more ready for the weekend 🌱
✨ The vibe: Indoor playground and the nearby tables at Round Table. Expect all ages, cartoons on the big screen, conversation, BYO snacks and dinner but tons of options nearby.
🧭 The vision:
Big Picture
A vessel for mixing ages and social circles that might not meet otherwise.
A public living room for people who want to be outside of the house on a Friday night but not at a bar or restaurant.
A new experiment for family-friendly programming at The Commons at a new time, already seeded with a parent community from the hosts’ school community.
Little Picture
Give parents an opportunity to experience the kind of breathing room the host gets from The Commons community through repeat attendees who establish a collective of trusted adults, either other parents or Commons members.
Family engagement in school communities still hasn't recovered from the pandemic. This is an experiment in rebuilding the habit of meeting in person.
Hosted by Julie Ann and Isa, mom and kid duo
Logistics
🧦 The Commons is a shoes-off space. More about the space here.
