Poverty, Inc. Detroit Screening

​Join us at The Madison for the 10-year anniversary of Poverty, Inc., the award-winning documentary that explores how foreign aid, despite good intentions, can trap communities in cycles of dependency, stifle entrepreneurship, and undermine local leadership.

​The screening will be hosted by the Acton Institute’s Center for Social Flourishing, 1 Girl Revolution, the Michigan Urban Youth Alliance, and the Atlas Network.

​This screening will feature two key voices from the film: Michael Matheson Miller, the director, and Magatte Wade, entrepreneur and author, both of whom will join us in person.

​You’ll enjoy a thoughtful program, connect with others passionate about rethinking international aid, and be among the first to hear a special announcement at the close of the film.
