Poverty, Inc. Detroit Screening
Join us at The Madison for the 10-year anniversary of Poverty, Inc., the award-winning documentary that explores how foreign aid, despite good intentions, can trap communities in cycles of dependency, stifle entrepreneurship, and undermine local leadership.
The screening will be hosted by the Acton Institute’s Center for Social Flourishing, 1 Girl Revolution, the Michigan Urban Youth Alliance, and the Atlas Network.
This screening will feature two key voices from the film: Michael Matheson Miller, the director, and Magatte Wade, entrepreneur and author, both of whom will join us in person.
You’ll enjoy a thoughtful program, connect with others passionate about rethinking international aid, and be among the first to hear a special announcement at the close of the film.
