Meaning-Making for Mental Health: A Creative Relief Practice
Some experiences change the shape of us.
They leave behind questions, fragments, memories, feelings, and stories we may not always know what to do with.
Sometimes, making meaning begins by giving those things somewhere to go.
This gathering is an invitation to explore creative expression as a way of processing what we carry. Through writing, art, reflection, and conversation, we'll make space for what has been difficult to name, and for whatever might be waiting on the other side of expression.
This is a space to witness, create, and connect, and to remember that even our hardest experiences can sit alongside meaning, movement, and possibility.
What to expect: We'll open with a short grounding, Nick Silva will share his story, and then make time for writing or art with prompts. Sharing is always optional. You're welcome to create quietly and just listen. No artistic experience needed. Materials will be provided.
This is a peer and creative space, not therapy or crisis care.
Content note: We'll be talking about suicide and self-harm, along with hope and resilience. You can step out at any time. There will be a quiet space, and Chelsea will be there just to offer support. If you need to talk to someone right now, you can call or text 988, any time.
