About Event

Join the You Aren't Alone Project for a one day Creative Relief Retreat designed for people of all backgrounds to engage in creative expression exercises and discussions as a tool for mental health, self-care, support and solace in a safe and collaborative environment.

Spend the afternoon with us exploring how creativity and mental health intersect to support your overall wellbeing. We'll start with a meditation and movement exercise, then hear from guest artists and mental health and wellness practitioners, and wrap up with a creative mental health workshop for tangible tools you can take with you and use in your daily life.

You do not have to be a practicing artist to attend. We just ask that you come with a creative mindset and an openness to the healing power of art and connection.

The You Aren’t Alone Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating & changing conversations around mental health so that no one ever has to feel alone.

We offer community programming, events, and resources that bring people together over shared creative journeys to foster holistic connections and we aim to do it all at a very low to no cost.

By tapping into the power of art and storytelling, we create safe, supportive, and inclusive spaces that encourage positive mental health & wellbeing.

From the founder: While healing is a continuous journey and I am far from done, I have spent the last 10 years building spaces and collecting the tools that I wish I had when I was younger. Through that process, I obtained my Masters in Mental Health Counseling and have used that training to grow YAAP. The project started in Louisiana and I am excited to bring our programs to San Francisco and beyond. I hope you'll join for the first in what we hope to be regularly scheduled gatherings.
