Becoming, Thirdspace Thirdweeks
Becoming
In partnership with Tokyo Salone, semi permanent, and teenage engineering, we are co-curating Thirdspace Thirdweeks as a year-round series of intimate gatherings at Soho House Tokyo. Designed for our community, these sessions bring together global cultural practitioners across art, design, technology, gastronomy, and music in conversation. As part of the wider Tokyo Salone platform, they contribute to a growing cultural infrastructure in Japan, shaped through dialogue, exchange, and shared perspective.
A limited number of seats are reserved, only 15 for our global Semi Permanent community, offering access into these otherwise member-only gatherings, along with the opportunity to experience Soho House following the session.
For this evening, we gather with Sarah Kerkhoven, Assistant Designer with Atelier Divka and a space, in between. A rising U30 talent and recent arrival to Tokyo, her work moves between study and practice, shaped by time at Willem de Kooning Academy, ROC Mondriaan, and Vanderwilt Amsterdam. Most recently, a 2025 LICHTING candidate. In this conversation, we reflect on beginnings, migration, and making, where identity, material, and place begin to take form through process and lived experience.
Doors Open, May 22 at 07:30
Start time 20:00–21:30 (includes AMA)
Conversation will be in English
