A Slice of the Future: Climate Week Pizza Party & Indigenous Craft Showcase
Curated by Rebecca Hui (Rurban) in partnership with UNDP's Indigenous Bioeconomy Accelerator
Tired of endless panels that leave us still hungry for real solutions? Instead, join us for Climate Week Pizza Party, a casual lunchtime gathering that serves up lessons and connections with Indigenous leaders, sustainable art from the heart of the Amazon, and actual pizza.
We asked eight Indigenous leaders across the globe: “What is your slice of a sustainable future?”
Their answers? Hand-stitched into pizza slices using traditional craft techniques, stories of resilience, coexistence, and renewal made tangible. These slices will be showcased alongside Indigenous-made products from the launch of the Amazon section of The Rurban Library: a new digital platform that supports Indigenous and rural communities globally to protect and promote truly sustainable bioeconomic products, and 4 minute film produced about the context of the work, in partnership with the UNDP Forest Guardians Investment Council.
