Arts & Culture Day for a Living Planet | LACW 2026

As part of LA Climate Week 2026, Culture Day brings together artists, storytellers, scientists, filmmakers, and cultural organizers to explore the role of culture, creativity, and storytelling in climate action.

Hosted by Artful Impact, Better Earth Media, Creative Migration, Entertainment + Culture Pavilion, Green Film School Alliance, Loving Hut, Plant Based Treaty, Planet in Mind, Rag Royalty, Climate Futures Studio, and With Love Projects, this afternoon gathering will feature performances, conversations, workshops, and artistic interventions that highlight how cultural expression can inspire climate awareness, imagination, and collective action.

The program blends art, science, and community dialogue, spotlighting emerging voices working at the intersection of climate storytelling, cultural heritage, sustainability, and creative practice.

Featuring visual artists @greggfleishman @meena.amani, @ofthestardustandearth, @havilahabrego, @brendannorth, @ekaterina.sky.art, @eubankart, @climatediva, @dmogrobejo and @Amyburkmanart.

Fashion activations by @DNAthreds, Ellerali, 2nd Life Studio, Circular Fashion LA, Threadhaus, Salvation Army, Monochromatic, and designers from the Re/Assembly competition.

Installation by Sustainable Latina a Multidisciplinary Artist | Sustainable Fashion & Textile Waste Expert | Climate Storyteller

With performances by @lauradelhauer, @inannaforearth, and @hysterical_theatre.

In collaboration with @LAClimateWeek, @climatefutures.art, @greenfilmschoolalliance, @artful.impact, @creativemigration, @with.love.projects, @glynnbarrishdreyer, and @ragroyalty.


What to Expect

Participants will experience a dynamic afternoon of programming, including:

• “Rest as Resistance for Artists and Culture Workers” by Creative Migration and With Love Projects offering free breathwork and sound bath sessions - sign up here: 12:00 PM / 4:00 PM
• Artist interviews, poetry readings, and storytelling sessions presented by Artful Impact and Climate Futures Studio
• A plant-based lunch and keynote conversation hosted by the Plant Based Treaty and Loving Hut
• A panel discussion titled “Activating the Culture Global Stocktake: Local Pathways for Climate Action,” curated by the Entertainment + Culture Pavilion
• Interactive workshops exploring sustainable filmmaking, fashion upcycling, and climate imagination led by partners including Green Film School Alliance, Rag Royalty, Planet in Mind, and collaborators
• Poetry readings and creative performances throughout the afternoon
• A closing performance to conclude the day

Throughout the event, visitors will also be able to experience the Gregg Fleishman exhibition presented onsite.

Culture Day is designed as a space for connection, reflection, and creative exchange, bringing together members of the cultural sector, climate organizations, media professionals, artists, and the wider Los Angeles community.

Whether you're an artist, storyteller, activist, policymaker, or simply curious about the role of culture in shaping climate futures, this gathering invites you to connect with a community reimagining climate action through creativity and cultural expression.
