Ever since we kicked off the "AI Build Day" bootcamps in March, something’s been bubbling under the surface in Montreal. Over 400 participants. 40+ projects. Builders showing up with heart, ideas, and the grit to get things done.
This October, we’re bringing it all together:
CR4KD (Oct 18 morning) + Beyond the Bubble (Oct 18 afternoon) + AI Build Day (Oct 19) = Montreal Builders Weekend.
It’s the biggest build momentum we’ve ever created. And it’s not just for coders.
Build in MTL Weekend is where Montréal’s next generation founders and ambitious minds kick off Tech Week together in the best setting (and seating)!
🧠 DAY 1 - CR4KD | October 18 @ Morning
Tech Week kicks off with a high-voltage morning at CR4KD:

Unfiltered founder stories from four outliers founders (some prefer using 'trailblazer') Charlotte Savage, Nivatha Balendra, Hamed Al-Khabbaz, Leo Ramlall. All started while in school, some still there, some got kicked out from it. Together they raised more than 30 millions and generate 40M ARR.

🌍 DAY 1 - Beyond the Bubble | October 18 @ Afternoon
Newcomer in the space? Building in your garage? This event is for you.
You’ll learn how to best leverage Montreal ecosystem to thrive, how to access the proper support from real stories of people who walked in your shoes, and how to build a real company from scratch in this city — especially if you weren’t born here, or don’t “look” like the usual startup founder.
Think immigrant wisdom + local insight + founder reality check, all in one.
🛠️ DAY 2 - AI Build Day | October 19
This is it. The big build day. Whether you’re solo or have a squad, with a project or just an itch to start something, come build in AI, climate, health, fintech, robotics, or whatever your passion is.
Workshops, vibe coding, product sprints, and city-wide energy — Montréal becomes your dev playground.
We welcome:

Product + design thinkers
AI & research nerds
Non-technical builders with bold ideas
People who’ve been told they don’t belong in tech
Everyone is welcome - and we especially uplift women, non-binary folks, immigrants, 30+ professionals, and those who’ve felt left out of the scene.

🏁 Oct 24 – Demo Drop
Deadline to submit your work is 11:59am on October 24th. You can then go meet successful founders at Startup Open House where more than 60 growing startups and scaleups are opening their doors across Montreal.
Top projects from across the city will receive an exclusive VIP invite for Startup Community Awards - the sought after annual gala of Quebec startup ecosystem with key decisions makers and investors. This is your stage to rise (and maybe raise!) if you build this weekend.
