Building Energy Infrastructure for the AI Era w/ Drew Baglino & Mike Schroepfer
AI is driving a new wave of physical infrastructure and like every system, it’s running into the universal rate limiter: energy.
Drew Baglino spent almost two decades at Tesla scaling power electronics and energy hardware from the Model S powertrain through Powerwall, Megapack, and the 50GWh battery factory in Texas. Now as Founder & CEO of Heron Power, he and his team are applying that experience to reengineer the legacy grid equipment that has quietly become one of AI's most critical bottlenecks–building the kind of scalable, reliable, and software-integrated infrastructure the next era demands.
Together, Drew and Schrep will get into why improving energy systems unlocks everything built on top of it—and what it actually takes to scale hard systems fast. They’ll discuss why the next generation of energy companies will look more like technology companies than utilities, the scaling decisions that compound, the tradeoffs that don’t show up in pitch decks.
